Michael Gao, MD
Michael Gao, M.D., is the Silverman Fellow for the NYP Innovation Center, LEAD Attending for the NYP LEAD Program, and Instructor in Medicine at Weill Cornell. As the Silverman Fellow, he helps patients get better-coordinated and timely care by integrating machine learning with clinical operations on both Weill Cornell and Columbia campuses, designs mobile applications for the Mobile Center of Excellence, and provides education on healthcare technology and transformation for residents and medical students.
Prior to joining NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell, Michael founded High Concept Designs, the Michigan Student-Run Free Clinic, and Findcare, a nonprofit web service connecting patients with low-cost healthcare. Additionally, he has several publications and national abstracts in biomathematics, genomics, and neuroscience.
Michael completed his B.S. in Neuroscience and B.S. in Molecular Genetics at the University of California Los Angeles, his M.D. at the University of Michigan, and his Internal Medicine internship and residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill-Cornell.
